In a centuries-old home within the walled city, you’ll be served a three-course meal crafted from seasonal ingredients and recipes passed down through generations. Shared in the warmth of a local family’s kitchen, you’ll taste rare dishes, hear untold stories, and experience a slice of everyday life, preserved with love and tradition.

The Mughals called themselves Gurkhanis—sons-in-law of the great Khans—honoring their Central Asian lineage. But behind the grandeur of emperors stood formidable women who shaped the course of the empire. From Babur’s grandmother Aisan Daulat Begum, who secured his throne when he was just 13, to queens, princesses, and poetesses who influenced politics, culture, and courtly life—this walk uncovers their powerful, often overlooked legacies. Set in a charming boutique property, this seasonal thali celebrates fresh, small-batch preparations using local produce. The menu has been lovingly curated from our own childhood memories, after long conversations with aunts, grandmothers, neighbors, and local foodies. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of memory, tradition, and the soulful simplicity of home-cooked Braj food.

In this 5-hour special walk we explore the city of Fatehpur Sikri. Commissioned by King Akbar, the city was a dedication to the Pir of Akbar Salim Chishti, who resided in the village of Sikri. The city of Fatehpur is no less than a palace full of magic and equally mysterious is the reason why it was deserted. From having the biggest doorway of the world to the multi pillared hall of religious debates, the city of Sikri has much to see and as much to hear. In this walk, we cover the city complex and also visit the sites around the complex that are equally historic.

In this workshop you will learn the craft of making traditional Mughal Motifs which are based on numerical sequences and are used extensively in Architecture, clothing and other places. The workshop will be conducted by art historian Dr Kriti and participants will take home a 1X1 square canvas that will be painted by them.

Along the way, explore the neighborhood’s hidden lanes, meet local flower vendors, and discover the small shrines and historical gems woven into the fabric of their community.
