My adventure started with a warm welcome at Nairobi International Airport, where I was met by my guide. After a quick briefing, we drove to Maasai Mara, known for its abundant wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. The lodge we stayed in was luxurious, with stunning views of the savannah. I couldn’t wait to begin the safari, and my first evening game drive didn’t disappoint — I spotted lions, zebras, and giraffes.

The next day was spent fully immersed in Maasai Mara. The Big Five were all around, and I even witnessed a lion hunt in action! Our game drives were followed by a visit to a Maasai village where we learned about their rich traditions. The day ended with a beautiful sunset drive across the plains, giving me a perfect view of the Mara at dusk.

On Day 3, we traveled from Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous safari destinations in the world. The drive was scenic, and once I arrived, I was blown away by the sheer size of the park. We stayed at an exclusive luxury tented camp, offering comfort and amazing views of the Serengeti plains. The evening game drive revealed more incredible wildlife, including cheetahs and hyenas.

From leopards lounging in trees to lions hunting in the grasslands, the Serengeti didn’t disappoint. We also had the chance to witness the incredible Great Migration (if you’re lucky enough to visit during peak season).

Day 5 took me to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place is often called the “Garden of Eden” due to its rich biodiversity. I spent the day exploring the crater floor, spotting rhinos, buffaloes, and warthogs. The view from the crater rim was stunning, and we were fortunate to have a picnic lunch with a view over the entire crater.

After a great experience in the crater, we traveled to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its large population of tree-climbing lions and incredible birdlife, Lake Manyara was full of surprises. I saw flamingos in the lake and spent time exploring the park’s lush forest area, where I came across monkeys, elephants, and a variety of birds.

On Day 7, we made our way back to Kenya, specifically to Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds. The luxury lodge we stayed at offered breathtaking views of the mountain. During our game drive, I was thrilled to see elephant herds with Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the background — it was a sight I’ll never forget.

Amboseli’s landscape is unique, with its swamps, grasslands, and waterholes. I spent the day exploring, encountering more elephants, as well as cheetahs and hyenas. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, which made it a perfect spot for birdwatching. The highlight of the day was a sunrise game drive, where the morning light bathed the park in gold.

The park’s landscape, which includes acacia forests and wetlands, was perfect for spotting rhinos, giraffes, and various bird species.
